duo of pianist Eyolf Dale and reedist André Roligheten
After two years with master studies at The Norwegian Academy of Music, we’re doing our final exam concert! This event takes place at Nasjonal Jazzscene, Victoria in Oslo upcoming Tuesday 14th of June. We’re playing a set of one hour, and the show starts at 19.00.
We’re really grateful for our time at the academy, it has been two great years with a lot of different projects and a lot of practising. During our time here, we have, among other things:
◊ had a week of playing and concerts with German drummer legend Paul Lovens
◊ been doing projects and several concerts in New York with singer Theo Bleckmann and saxophonist Andrew D’Angelo
◊ visited the great composer/pianist/alto-horn player Django Bates, with composition lessons, studio recordings and worked with different approaches to composition and interplay
◊ recorded two albums; “Mystery Orchestra with Grenager & Tafjord” (released in 2010) and an upcoming recording from New York is to be released.
So, big thanks to this wonderful school!
